- Getting here
- Sunshine station is one of the west's big interchanges, with metro and regional services, and Ballarat Rd runs the buses in from Braybrook.
Close enough to walk out with wet hair
Braybrook is the closest big catchment to the Sunshine room, and Sunshine is where the curls go. Tina leads that floor and is the name people bring curly hair to, which is most of why it is the chair that books out first.
- Ammonia free
Every colour in every chair, since 2013. Not a premium line you have to ask for.
What that means for your hair - 95% diverted
Hair, ponytails, foils, colour water and packaging. Five streams, sorted by hand.

5 things worth knowing first
Near Central West Shopping Centre, Ballarat Rd, Braybrook Park, Hampshire Rd.
How far ahead should I book Sunshine?
Further than you would think. It is the busiest room in the group, Thursday runs late to 9pm and Saturday fills first. If you want a particular stylist — Tina for curls, Emily for colour — ring rather than leaving it to the online diary, and we will tell you honestly when the next real gap is.
Are you actually in Braybrook?
No, and we would rather say so than let you drive to the wrong suburb. The nearest Satori is at 12 Watt St, Sunshine — the next suburb over. Straight up Ballarat Rd, then into Watt St. The salon is at number 12, a short walk from the Hampshire Rd shops.
Do I have to be an existing client to book online?
Online booking is for people who have been in before. If this is your first visit, ring Sunshine on (03) 9310 1237 or send the enquiry form. We ask a couple of questions about your hair first so we book you enough time, and colour clients get a free consultation before anything is mixed.
Is it cheaper or dearer than a salon in the village?
The whole list is published, so you can check rather than ring around. Services start at $20 and every price sits at three stylist levels — you pick the level that suits your budget, and it is the same list at all three salons.
What if another Satori suits me better?
Book whichever room works. Kingsville is on 293 Geelong Rd, Sunshine is on 12 Watt St, Essendon is on 127 Buckley St. Several of our stylists work across more than one salon, so if you have a favourite you can follow the person rather than the room.
One suburb over,
and open 5 days
Ring Sunshine and a stylist or the person on reception picks up. First visit for colour starts with a free consultation, so you know the number before anything is mixed.
First visit for colour? Ring the salon instead — we ask a couple of questions about your hair so we book you enough time.
