SATORI House
Healing, learning and connection, behind the Essendon salon
A room that has nothing to do with hair
Satori means a glimpse of enlightenment. We put that on three hair salons in 2013 and never had anywhere to put the rest of it. When the Essendon room opened on Buckley St in 2024, the space behind it became SATORI House — light filled, private, and given over to healing, learning and connection.
It runs on the people who use it. Facilitators, teachers and practitioners bring what they do; we keep the room, the diary and the kettle. You do not have to be a Satori client to walk in, and nothing that happens in here involves a pair of scissors.
Three shapes the room takes
The programme changes with whoever is teaching, so what is listed here is the kind of thing that happens rather than a timetable that will be out of date by the time you read it. Dates go up on Instagram.
- 01
Workshops and immersives
Three-hour and half-day sessions on breathwork, somatic practice, hormonal health and emotional regulation, run by visiting facilitators.
- 02
Courses and development
Longer formats, including an eight week psychic development course, Working with Spirit Guides, for people building an intuitive practice.
- 03
One to one
True Tone vocal coaching with Jemma on Mondays, and other practitioners taking private bookings in the room through the week.
Want to know what is on this month? @satorihair carries the dates, or email [email protected] and we will tell you what is coming up.
Hire the room from $45 an hour
If you run workshops, courses, treatments or trainings and you are tired of church halls and hotel function rooms, this is a private space with the right light and no minimum term. Book it for an hour, a morning or a series.
